Hi good day for all
first Umayyad, indeed Islamic silver coinage Dirham  was copied from the Sassanian Drachma , during Umayyad density all dirhams was interlard by govern names or Allah name “ in the name of Allah “  same to “ Bism allah “  or there is no god but God) and Muhammadun rasul Allah (Muhammad is the messenger of God) , also  Abdul almaik bin Marwan and his brother albisher dated their dirhams in Arabic on Sasanian dirhams or drachm: figure 1

if we notice : this dirham written today in Arabic language 75H  for abdul almalik ,

arbic in obverse:بسم الله , لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله
revers : أمير المؤمنين خليفة الله

Abd al-Malik B. Marwan. Drachm, without mint name (probably Dimashq) 75h. Obverse: Bust of Khusraw II right; behind, duriba fi sanat; before, khams | wa saba`in. In margin: bismillah – la ilaha illa Allah – [wahdahu] Muhammad ra – sul Allah. Reverse: Standing figure of caliph facing, wearing elaborate robe and with right hand on sheathed sword. To left: amir al-mu`minin; to right: khalifat Allah. 3.47 g. References: Album L40 RRR; Walker p. 25

now  pure dirham : pure dirham means words or chapters  written or interlard only by Arabic language ( in Simple Kofi font )  on dirham like figure  2
Most of the researches tell first dirham is 78H minted in  alkufa – biji – shik Altaimara , Azerbaijan and Erminia   is the first pure dirham , but there is dirham dated 40 H , for Mu'awiya bin Abi Sufyan 41-60AH/661-680AD figure :3 . but between 40H till 87 hijri we didn’t see any dirham with date  between 40& 78 Hijri  , this give equivalent date in 40 Hijri it mistake during dirham strike or copying

firgure 3: 40 Hijri - for Mu'awiya bin Abi Sufyan 41-60AH , Silver Dirham, Wasit 44h
